| August, 2006 | The duo is soon widely recognized as one of the best duo poetry performers in the nation | |
| November, 2006 | Kirk and Gabriel begin preparing new poetry pieces for next year’s competition | |
| February, 2007 | After creating numerous poetry pieces, Kirk and Gabriel decide to name themselves Kinetic Affect and begin work on creating their own show | |
| February, 2007 | Gabriel and Kirk begin performing for colleges around Michigan as Kinetic Affect | |
| March-May, 2007 | Kinetic Affect tears up the competitive slam scene in the Midwest region | |
| June , 2007 | Kinetic Affect withdraws from competition in order to focus solely on their new show entitled Word Weavers | |
| July, 2007 | Kinetic Affect debuts its highly successful show Word Weavers to three sold out crowds | |

Word Weavers storms the stage again in
an Encore performance, featuring six new poems, to four sold out
crowds. Kinetic Affect sponsors and hosts a successful student-driven spoken word poetry fundraiser called Slamapalooza at Portage Northern High School. |
